Aaaahhhh...NICE! Sorry to hear you got some cool, rainy days and that you had trail issues, but it looks like such a great couple of trips!
As I was looking through your photo album of the Eagle Caps, I kept thinking...that place looks familiar...that place looks familiar. I went on the map and we went in the same way. And I'm thinking that if you hadn't lost the trial, you'd have ended up where we were (we came from the other direction!). I think they are trying to phase out the trails on that whole half of the loop you were on...not surprised there were issues.
Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous! I have tried so many times to take a photo of the redwoods. you just can't get the height. the best ones are always of a tiny person somewhere around the bases. Your imagination has to take care of the rest. I can't believe I didn't go camping once this summer and now school is starting again. Thanks for the virtual trip! fleece and love.
Just stumbled upon your blog. Nice shot of the Darlingtonia. Is that that from the bog upstream from Jedediah Smith redwoods? Your Smith River photo is pretty crisp too.
