The Petals Collection: Calla Lily

Imagine, if you will, me coming home after a long and occasionally frustrating day at work. Da5id driving while I knit and sweat in the passenger seat. We pull into the driveway, and he says, "are you expecting a package?" My ears perk up. "Yes! I think so!"

I *RUN* to the front door to pick up the box and give it a few obligatory shakes. Shake shake shake... Oh goodie. I know what this is! I *RIP* open the box and am presented with a prettily wrapped bundle of tissue paper. OOO! Squealing happens.

I have received my first shipment from the Sundara Yarn sock club, The Petals Collection. Each shipment contains a sock yarn inspired by a different flower, and a different sock pattern. The suspense is killing me. What flower will it be???

I *RUN* to the back yard, haphazardly discarding shoes and socks, to take this photo:

Photo, check. Now let's get down to business! I greedily and gleefully dismantle the package. Here are some photos I forced myself to take during the process (knowing that I'd want to share the moment):

Package contents:
  • Two skeins of Calla Lily sock yarn from Sundara Yarn
  • A welcome card from Sundara
  • A photo of a calla lily, colors matching perfectly with the yarn
  • A little envelope containing a sock pattern for "calla lily socks", including a photo
  • A flower-wand-shaped lollipop from Twinkle Candy
Isn't that awesome!? Don't you wish you had signed up for The Petals Collection!? Sundara sure is a creative gal and she poured a lot of effort into making this parcel. It couldn't be more perfect! I am tickled pink (and green).

I am green (and purple) with envy over here. I sure wish I'd heard of this sock club! Lucky you!
